Je suis en plein for\u00eat. Un arbre tombe juste aupr\u00e8s de moi. Il n\u2019y a pas <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">d\u2019abri<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">, je <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">d\u00e9cide<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> de continu<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">er<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> sous l\u2019orage. Si je <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">m\u2019arr\u00eate<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">, je risque d\u2019attraper froid. Je continue donc sous l\u2019orage. \u00c0 la sortie de la for\u00eat, l\u2019orage s\u2019arr\u00eate, Ouf. Je\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">rejoins <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">\u00e0 temps<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> le point de contr\u00f4le n\u00b01 de Charleville-M\u00e9zi\u00e8res. Le long des<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> chemin<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">s<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> \u00e9troit<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">s<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">, <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">les <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">m<\/span>\u00fbres sauvages<span lang=\"fr-FR\"> son<\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">t pr\u00e9sentes en abondance. Au bord d\u2019un chemin de pierres blanches, qui brille au soleil, un jeune renard observe mon passage.<\/span>\u00a0Quelques passages dans les broussailles, orties, ronces permettent de ne pas d\u2019endormir sur le v\u00e9lo. Avant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e au deuxi\u00e8me check point au village de Quarr\u00e9-les-Tombes ou S\u00e9bastien et Samuel m\u2019accueillent et tamponne mon arriv\u00e9e. Apr\u00e8s un ravitaillement express dans la sup\u00e9rette du village, je disparais, pour reprendre la route vers le CP3.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Verdun<\/h2>\n<p>Avant d\u2019arriver \u00e0 Verdun, un bout de bois s\u2019est coinc\u00e9 entre ma roue arri\u00e8re et le cadre, lors d\u2019une descente. R\u00e9sultat, la durite du frein arri\u00e8re est tordue, donc plus de frein arri\u00e8re. Oblig\u00e9 de rester \u00e0 Verdun afin de r\u00e9parer, apr\u00e8s trois visites dans des magasins de v\u00e9lo. Je ne suis toujours pas r\u00e9par\u00e9, les durites sont en rupture de stock. Je trouve un autre magasin qui n\u2019a pas de durite mais purge mon frein arri\u00e8re. Le frein n\u2019est donc pas compl\u00e8tement r\u00e9par\u00e9, mais j\u2019ai un peu de freinage, mieux que rien! Je cherche un magasin d\u2019ouvert, apr\u00e8s un tour dans la ville, je conclus que tout est encore ferm\u00e9. Je suis arriv\u00e9 trop-t\u00f4t. Je m\u2019abrite de la pluie dans une banque afin d\u2019attendre l\u2019ouverture d\u2019une boulangerie \u00e0 7h. Je n\u2019ai jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans les descentes techniques, je descends donc souvent certaine parties \u00e0 pied. Je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re monter que descendre. Mais, les pentes avec un pourcentage \u00e9lev\u00e9, les cailloux, font que je pousse malheureusement tr\u00e8s souvent mon v\u00e9lo. Le dernier point de contr\u00f4le de la French Divide. Au final sur cette session, j\u2019ai mis 18h pour faire 144 kms, consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la plus difficile du parcours. Apr\u00e8s, le pointage \u00e0 Puycelsi, et un bon plat de p\u00e2tes dans le ventre, je m\u2019arr\u00eate dans un petit camping familial pour reprendre des forces avant d\u2019attaquer les derniers 500 kilom\u00e8tres.
